The Details

Ayurveda is the oldest medicinal system in the world and the sister science to Yoga. Ayurveda and Yoga compliment one another and were traditionally taught in tandem. The way we balance our mind, body and spirit is informed by nature and its elements.

Bring the knowledge of Ayurveda into your physical yoga practice and get smarter about the way you practice and teach. In this 25 hr module, Amy Pastore will cover how the Five Elements present themselves in the body, mind and spirit through the Three Doshas. A high or low Doshic state will lead to unease and illness. By choosing lifestyle practices (including yoga asana and pranayama) that maintain balance or correct imbalance, true health and vitality are attained. In addition to linking Ayurveda and asana, will explore traditional Ayurvedic recipes and skincare to promote overall wellbeing.

Upon completion, students will be able to directly apply the wisdom of Ayurveda to their own lives as well as utilize it to craft yoga classes that truly bring balance to their students.

Amy Pastore is has been teaching yoga for over a decade and is an experienced 500hr Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist. For more about Amy, check out amypastore.com .
