The Art of Adjustments & Assists

“One good hands on adjustment is worth a thousand words.” This training is for yoga teachers who want to become more confident and skilled at adjustments and assists.
Trainees will learn to look for common misalignments and how to address them safely and confidently. We will cover the difference between passive and active adjustments and the appropriate ways in which each can be utilized. We will also learn effective verbal cues and adjustments.
Come learn how to empower students through hands-on physical and verbal adjustments and assists. Your students will thank you!
Amy has been teaching teachers for over a decade and appreciates both the fear of hurting students and the value in that “amazing” assist.
This training is designed for yoga teachers. If you are a yoga student who is interested in learning more about adjustments, you are absolutely welcome to join us!
If you are a 200-hr RYT, the training counts as 25 hours of continuing education credits with Yoga Alliance or 25 hours toward a 300-hour advanced teaching certification.
Training will take place over 4 meetings:
Wednesday, 3/15: 5:00-8:30pm
Thursday, 3/16: 5:00-8:30pm
Saturday 3/18: 9:00am-4:30pm
Sunday 3/19: 9:00am-4:30pm
Meal times and breaks will be included.
Homework will be assigned.
*Training will be held in person at our Flow HoHoKus studio.
